He was born into a simple, self-sufcient peasant family. He studied wood carving at the crafs school in Nádudvar. He held his first handicraft classes for children at the age of 16. He has been conducting woodcarving, toy-making and furniture-making workshops at the Motolla Association since 2006. He created the Woodcarving Camp in 2006, of which he is the organiser, professional and artistic director. He has also been presenting his work in solo exhibitions since 2007.
