1957, Debrecen, painter, teacher, minstrel [“regös” singer]
He worked as a teacher of mathematics and arts for 41 years. He is a founding member of both the Motolla Association of Debrecen and the team of Debrecen Regös Ensemble, the latter of which has been serenading with “regös” songs every winter for the past 30 years all over the Carpathian Basin. He has been drawing and painting since he was 17 years old. In 2008 he was awarded the county Prima Primissima Award in the category “Hungarian Folk Art and Public Culture”. In 2022 he was awarded the Pedagogical Award of the Calvinist Church District of Tiszántúl and the Pedagogical Service Medal.
