Her interest in woven fabrics and her creative work waswere guided by her respect, love and curiosity for her homeland and tradition. The beauty of the texture inherent in natural materials inspired her led to making to the creation of her textiles, the pleasant, wearable, fashionable garments, the ‘gubas’. Researching and transforming the Debrecen guba into wearable, fashionable garments is a new challenge for her, as guba-making was once a flourishing trade in Debrecen. Her work has earned her the titles Young Master of Folk Art and Applied Folk Artist. Her most important honours include the award ‘For the Public Education of the City of Debrecen’ (1996), the Pedagogical Service Medal (2008), the title Master of the Year (2013), and the Traditionalist Award (2016).
