He has been making folk instruments, mainly various zithers and gardons since 1973. His works are characterised by a careful selection of material, archaism and accuracy of design, formal beauty and meticulous crafsman ship. His zithers are traditional Hungarian folk instruments, but at the same time they carry the signature of the artist and his own ideas. He has been successfully participating in domestic and foreign exhibitions for many years. His most important recognitions are: Young Master of Folk Art (1976), Applied Folk Artist (1979), Master of Folk Art (1993). He was voted Master of the Year at the Festival of Folk Arts in Budapest in 1997. He was awarded the Hungarian Golden Cross of Merit in 2014.
