He learned to be a tailor on the advice of his father, and after completing school he began working in his hometown. He soon opened his own tailor’s workshop. Afer the change in the political system he worked more and more making folk costumes. At first, he collected old, worn garments from the villages of Erdővidék and took them apart to make his first Sekler costume. The fabric is still woven on a traditional loom in his workshop, and the clothes are made according to the methods and techniques described by his predecessors. He receives ever more orders to reconstruct the costumes of some settlements that have disappeared over time. In addition to folk costumes, he is engaged in the production of Hungarian ceremonial attire. He has been awarded the title of Master of Folk Art, the Prize of the Association of Hungarian Folk Artists in Romania and the Artera Prize.
