Her first solo exhibition was held in 1972 at the Artists’ Club in Debrecen. Her pictures – surrealist and metaphysical photomontages and collages – typically emulate avant-garde trends. In recent years she has been using photography mostly for documentation, mainly in the feld of ethnography and folk art. She is one of the founders of the Studio of Young Photographers of Debrecen. She taught in art schools and in the Hungarian Tradition Workshop of the Heritage People’s College. She was the president of the Sztélé Art and Culture Foundation for seventeen years. She established a signifcant ethnographic photo archive. She believes that a work of art provides spiritual and spiritual nourishment and fulfls its mission if it can be embedded in space and time in our own organic culture, national existence and the interconnected system of the universe. She was awarded the László Holló Prize in 2009.
