CHEMEZ Farkas
1973, Budapest, wood-, horn- and bone-carver, ethnographer
His creative credo is “Let it be like it was in the old days!” He believes that ethnography is the science of the future, that tradition should not be preserved, but lived. His carvings earned him the title Young Master of Folk Art in 2005. He regularly organises horseback pilgrimages in the Carpathian Basin.
