1999, Kiskunhalas, folk costume maker
He inherited the love of creating, sewing and folk art from his mother, who is also a folk costume maker. He learned the craf of ladies’ tailoring in Dunaújváros. For passing the apprenticeship exam, he inherited a pleating workshop as a reward for passing the apprenticeship exam. He acquired the technique of pleating in a self-taught way, with a lot of experimentation. After his training he started working in his mother’s workshop, where they make authentic Hungarian peasant costumes. He has created his first costumes using his own pleated material, which have been given a trademark peacock tag by the Hungarian Heritage House. With support from the Folk Art Association of the Region Danube-Tisza Interfluve, he has organised and conducted two pleating conferences in Kiskunhalas.
