Thanks to her folk musician and artisan parents, she was fascinated by folk art from an early age was inspired by her folk musician and artisan parents. She studied ethnography at ELTE and the University of Cluj-Napoca, and then obtained a professional certifcate in clothes design at the Modell Fashion School. She teaches folk singing and is a member of the Juhász Family Ensemble and the Eszterlánc band. She sings both as a solo singer and with her own orchestra. Ten years ago, she founded a workshop for her handcrafed clothes decorated with folk motifs under the name Juhász Réka Ruhák (Réka Juhász Clothes), and in addition to producing garments, she also researches and interprets symbols. She is currently a fellow of the Hungarian Academy of Arts.
