SZÁSZ-BÁNYÁSZ Anna
1996, Gyergyószentmiklós / Gheorgheni, RO
She is a photographer living in Transylvania. She pursued studies in various branches of art until she settled for photography. She received her MA in photography from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest in spring 2022. In her works there is a major emphasis on the rural lifestyle of peasants living close to nature, which she approaches through her own nostalgic memories. She is inspired by the present, occupying a place between nostalgia and utopia, through which she tries to overwrite the false stereotypes that exist about the peasant lifestyle. Most of her photographs are taken on the family farm established by her father, József Bányász. Her degree project is titled Te Future Is No Longer the Same and has already been displayed at several venues. Te selection presented at the Műcsarnok exhibition is a stage in the continuation of this series.
