NAGY Botond
1989, Marosvásárhely / Târgu Mureș, RO
He is a photographer living in Marosvásárhely (Târgu Mureș, Romania). As a member of the local József Marx Photo Club and the World Association of Hungarian Photographers he is committed to documenting the everyday life of the local Sekler population: their hard work done with utmost reverence, as well as their religious and folk customs. His photographs allow an insight into the slowly disappearing folk crafs and the diverse world of customs from Kalotaszeg through Sekler Land to the Changos of Moldavia. He captures the natural beauty and diversity of the flora and fauna with the same kind of professional humility. Since 2019 he has been participating in the Balázs Orbán documentarist photography camps organised under the patronage of the Harghita County Resource Centre for the Preservation of Traditions.
